Operating principle:
Operation is how automation conveyors, elevators, ventilation and dust absorption function’s thus the phenomenon of blocking the installation does not occur. In this way, each conveyor or elevator, starts or stops with a certain delay to achieve gradual loading or unloading.
If blockage or rupture of a vonveyor or elevator, the overflow transducers, or the protection of the drive motor, will stop that conveyor along with all conveyors and elevators transporting material to the damaged conveyor, leaving in operation a predetermined time conveyors and elevators transporting material from the damaged equipment.
Modes of operation:
The system has three modes: unload, recirculation and transfer silo products. Each of the three phases can operate independently and simultaneously.
The system can work both in automaticmode, where all decisions are taken by the automatic control of the installation, depending on the chosen silo phase and in manual mode, where the system can make checks and adjustments on silo process for each conveyor or elevator. The system is also provided with a semi-automatic system, which involves a combination of manual climate control system, meaning that the chosen stage, discharge, recirculation or transfer system operates automatically, coupling with by a certain timing the conveyots or elevators, but only the ones and tup to those which have been manually selected, of course in order of chosen phase succession.
The ventilation and dust absorption equipment is implemented so that it starts before the elevators and conveyors and stop after them, thereby ensuring efficient dust removal.
Functional safety:
The system performs a good signaling and warning situations process, by gathering faults present in the fault list, showing the date and time when the fault apperared and disappeared and assuring audible signals when they occur.
The list of faults is stored in a “.csv” on the PC and can be accessed and printed, making process history for long periods of time.
Comfort and ease of use:
Each stage of the process and pH values are shown in real time and stored in process lists that can be accessed both on the PC viewer, and in a “.csv” file, logging the history of the instalation’s parameters in time.
Automation is ensured by a Siemens ”Step 7″ series programmable controller and S300 digital and analog modules, which monitor and control the entire process of neutralization.
With the graphic touch screen and SCADA program under “Siemens Flexible 2008 Runtime” licence, viewing, control and HMI interaction with the installation is made posible.
Fiabiliate:
Automation cabinets are made with Schneider Electric devices , providing a high robustness and a very good reliability.
